Nothing good is going to happen without hard work. Work hard. And harder.

” When you do a task, like getting new partners to your company or sending a mail merge email, or It could be writing a monthly newsletter to all your staff.

Your work directly reflects your ability to think on a broader scale. By making your writing and presentations clear and easy to follow, you effectively demonstrate consideration for your audience and the public at large.

Involving others in your projects and accepting any feedback with graciousness, highlights your strength in teamwork, and you reveal your comfort with the group dynamics and seek continuous improvement for yourself (growth mindset).

Solid, well-executed work commands respect and protects you from office politics, and peer pressures, and the tangible results speak for themselves.

When facing political pressure, stay focused, rise above pettiness, and continue to engage positively with your surroundings. This approach will not only sharpen your skills but also set you apart from those who make a lot of noise without delivering results.

So anything you do, do it with your heart! “

It’s only 22:32, and somehow I’ve found myself at my writing desk much earlier than usual. Thankfully, I decided to sit down, as my mind has been too distracted over the past few days to focus on one task at a time.

I had a strange night of sleep. When I went to bed, I told myself I’d wake up in 30 minutes, and sure enough, I was wide awake exactly 30 minutes later. It makes me wonder how I can apply this to getting tasks done. Maybe I should try setting a timer and telling myself this task will be done in 30 minutes. I hope to finish my writing tonight before 11 pm.

Today was an odd day—first, I lost my keys, and then my bike, which was working fine, suddenly had a completely crushed wheel. It seemed the air went out, and the wheel couldn’t handle the weight, and I left it on the side of the road, good riddance to this old dutch bike.

Instead of focusing on the work, when I was distracted somehow my sister could feel and sense it, In our group chat early this morning, she suggested that we all pray for Khaleem during Friday prayer. I thought, “Wow, she knows what’s going on with me!” I knew I should be working, but I allowed myself to seek some temporary pleasure, trying to fill whatever void I’m feeling. To reassure them, I told them everything was fine and that I’d finish some work today. I also mentioned that I was starting a new role on Monday, and they all started congratulating me.

The rest of the day, I focused on tidying up the flat, doing laundry, organizing books and papers, and writing. I also chatted with my brother, who was busy with his own priority for the day—making sure his little son wouldn’t fall out of bed. He was arranging extra pillows and cushions around the bed, which is a great priority to have looking after your kids.

It’s often overlooked, but the personality we present to the world has a significant impact on our success. People tend to form judgments based on outward appearances, and if you aren’t mindful of this and simply believe that “being yourself” is enough, they may begin to attribute qualities to you that have little to do with who you really are but align with what they expect or want to see.

This can lead to confusion, insecurity, and distraction as you internalize their judgments, making it difficult to stay focused on your goals.

The key to protecting yourself from this is to take control of the narrative by consciously shaping your outward appearance and the image you project.

By doing so, you can influence how others perceive you and steer their judgments in a way that benefits you. At times, it may be advantageous to maintain a sense of mystery, enhancing your presence by standing back and letting others wonder about you.

In other situations, you might choose to be more direct, projecting a specific image that aligns with your objectives. The important thing is to avoid settling on a single, fixed persona that allows people to fully understand or predict you. This is you continuously adapting and staying one step ahead.

3 things I felt grateful for today –

  • Despite the tantrum I had this morning over the keys and the bike tyre, I never once felt frustrated. My mind remained calm, and I’m thankful I didn’t let the situation overwhelm me.

  • I felt grateful when I went to pick up the keys from my flatmate’s work. He didn’t ask any questions when I told him I lost mine—he immediately started looking for his keys to lend me. That moment of kindness really struck me.

  • Now, as I reflect, I’m feeling grateful again. Although the day seemed chaotic, quite a few tasks were completed, and that’s something to appreciate.

What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 times, more energetic, confident, happy, healthy, and grateful, sleep well tonight, make it a workout in the morning, have the day go fine, everything okay with family, friends and everyone around and then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing, yet a productive day tomorrow?

Goodnight, good luck!
