Woke up 7:15..meditated for 20 min.. logged on work sharp at 8.. work was a little bit funny today. adjusting to the changes or accepting to the new working changes obviously bkz of quarantine working home..

Anyway, I wanted to go for a jog in my lunch break, I got ready but it was raining so I decided to cook and speak to mother instead.. a bit unexpected call for her, bkz I usually phone her on Saturday’s.. they just came back from the supermarket and dad was watching tv and mother was arranging the things, and she was happy for my surprise ring.. she said, everything is back in action there back in India, they went into the quarantine after us here in UK, and then it’s already been lifted out. I hope they are managing it properly. I honestly send them all my blessings..

How to cook Khichdi

Heat a pan and put 2 big spoons of Oil, cut 1 onion and Fry the onion in the oil until it goes dark brown, then add one big spoon of ginger garlic paste to the onion and fry for it for a little bit, then add pudeenah (a handful of mint leaves) and add a glass of water to it.. then add half a teaspoon of Turmeric powder (Haldi) to it.

Meanwhile, soak rice and red lentils in water for 15 minutes.. then add the rice to the above and add water and cook rice as normal.

To go with Khichidi usually, there is Khatta.. Khichdi khatta is the common word for Khichidi. Khatta is the soup that goes with the khichidi…

to make Khatta. You need, Tamarind..

Take a fist full of Tamarind and Soak in the hot water for about 15 minutes, squeeze and get the juice out, add, a little chili powder, salt.

Heat oil a couple of tea spoons, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, a couple red long chilies, then add the hot oil on top of squeezed tamarind. not water to the oil. you have to add the oil to the water.. quickly add and cover it so it doesn’t jump. then finally cut one fresh raw onion and add it to the soup before serving.

And then for real finally, Khichdi is not complete with Anda ( Egg) and Papad ( Pappadum )

Pappadum, you buy the pack and heat a lot oil, very very hot. slide the Pappadum in the oil and take them out in 3 seconds..

AndaThe EggHow to cook omelet – Cut onion, thinly sliced really small, add chili powder, ginger garlic paste, turmeric and salt.. mix it.. add 1 spoon of each. then you can add 4 eggs and beat it for a long time and then heat oil and make the omelet.

Khichdi Khatta Anda Papad is the full name of the Khichidi.. and I miss my mommy’s khichdi so much tonight.. and my brother loves it too.

3 things I am grateful for today,

grateful for the jog today, over chariots sauna, Lambeth bridge, Westminster bridge, back home over Vauxhall bridge. there was no sun.

grateful for my mate Manual Portuguese guy who came to see me after work and we played the money spending game for a little bit.

grateful for all the food i ate today.

I wish of my day – what would it take for me and for you to get to really really really really really really experience many foods and tastes of the planet and all the patterns that are blocking for this happen, please get deleted off my mind and across all time dimensions space and reality..
