The day had gone in bliss.. Something that you do and you continue doing it, not realizing that you are doing it.
You lose track of everything elseβyour body and mind become completely absorbed in an activity you usually deem unproductive. But when bliss takes over, you find yourself swept away, fully immersed.
I had a text from nephew Dan this morning that he’s reached home after a 10-hour sleeping coach bus from his city to his hometown, reaching my dear sister.. He left home for the first time to Uni about a month ago or so I guess, he’s home for a few days, and all the family is thrilled and so was I in the morning.
Saturday is usually an errand day, got a lot of things done today, catching up on the tasks, and chores.. then had a catch-up with the family, for quite a few hours, one more tick for the weekend.
Tomorrow I’m filming for a British supermarket Christmas TV commercial, I got to be there at 10 am, so better be on your best behaviour today.
3 things I felt grateful for –
-
I’m grateful I caught up with a friend this morning; it lifted my spirits.
-
Even though I might be on my own here, I’m truly thankful that my family always has each other close by.
-
This evening, I followed a feeling and headed to Warren Street to get some fresh air, and I happened to run into another friend. He’s from Israel, and with everything going on between Hamas and Israel, heβs hesitant even to mention where he’s from.
“Grateful I met with a friend today, Morning’s cheer lit the way. Though here alone, I find no fear, For familyβs warmth is always near.
I followed the pull of the evening air, To Warren Street, without a care. By chance, I met a friend I know, From Israel, where tensions grow.
He spoke so softly, guarded and shy, Of where heβs from, beneath the sky. With Hamas and Israel locked in strife, The weight of war shadows his life.
I, a Muslim, standing by his side, Two hearts where faith and friendship collide. Grateful for this bond we hold, In a world divided, yet souls so bold.
For even in times when lines are drawn, Humanity whispers, and hope lives on.”
What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 x times bigger, thicker, more energetic, confident, happy, alert, helpful, healthy, wealthy, make it to the filming set on time, the day to go fine, everything to be okay with family, friends and everyone around and then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?
