Don’t forget that so far, you’ve survived 100% of your bad days!

London

I was sitting here tonight, just thinking. I meant to write something, but I got distracted – doing some online shopping, looking at rental listings, running errands, checking my finances. Then it hit me – dear mother had called earlier and said she wasn’t feeling right. She couldn’t explain it, just a general sense of unease. That stayed with me. What could I do to help her feel better, especially being so far away? I can’t be there physically, but maybe love and good energy can travel across distance. Sometimes I suppose, that’s all you can give – your heart, even if you can’t be in the room.

I send her all my love and blessings, not just to her but to all mothers and anyone out there who isn’t feeling their best. Mum, your love keeps me going. You’re the reason I push forward, that I write, that I try to live with meaning. I hope you stay strong and healthy. I dream of the day I can bring you and Dad to live with me, take care of you both, and make a warm vegetable soup for you every night.

As for my day, it started calmly. I woke up naturally, no alarm. I felt good, full of energy, though I didn’t have time to squeeze in a workout before work. So I ate breakfast and jumped straight into my tasks: emails, training sessions, and everything else on the list.

The weather outside was beautiful – sunny and warm. At lunch, I went for a quick workout at Puregym Picadilly It was a short workout, but a good one. It had been a while since I trained during the day, and it gave my mind and body a fresh jolt of energy. I needed that.

I did some pull-ups, chest presses on the incline machine, shoulder presses, lateral raises, and some core work. Then I headed home, grabbed a quick lunch, and got right back to work again.

I spoke to Mum again in the afternoon and had a short chat with Dad too. After finishing up work around 17:45, I took a 20-minute nap, then got on my bike. The weather was too nice to stay in. I rode to Camden, met up with friends for a shuffle session, and was back home by 20:15.

Around the world today –

  • Ukraine and Russia war – are scheduled to hold direct peace talks in Turkey on May 15. Despite the talks, Ukrainian officials remain skeptical of Russia’s intentions and fear the war could continue for years without stronger international support.

  • Israel and Palestine war – Ceasefire talks are ongoing in Qatar, with Hamas proposing a two-month truce in exchange for hostage and prisoner releases, while Israel demands Hamas’s disarmament and leadership exile.

3 things that I felt grateful for today

  • I’m grateful for my bike and the freedom it gives me to get around.

  • Just grateful I’ll be heading to bed soon as soon as I finish.

  • Grateful middle of the week but still sane.

What would it take for me and for you to wake up early, fully charged, motivated and aligned to goals and get all tasks set out for tomorrow to be done in perfection, have a good workout in the morning, work to go smooth, everything to be okay with family, friends and everyone around, then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing, yet a producitve day tomorrow?
