Allahumma laka al-hamd wa laka ash-shukr
Allahumma laka al-hamd wa laka ash-shukr
Allahumma laka al-hamd wa laka ash-shukr
Beautiful day today.
Woke up early around 07:30 AM, feeling good. Slept last night without my braces on my teeth – I must be grinding them – but I still woke up feeling great, energetic, and happy. The sun was out, but then disappeared within a minute of me watching it and didn’t come back before I got out of bed a few minutes later, so I didn’t get to enjoy much of it.
Picked up my phone and said, “Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim.”
Read a rukuh of Surah Al-Kahf. There was a text from my friend saying it would be warm outside later and should be a nice day. “Enjoy. I hope you’re feeling happier in your skin today.”
I replied: “Good morning, yes, thanks, feeling good. All okay. Hope you slept well and are back from your walk. I need to get up now. Have a great day.”
It was around 07:40 AM, and I still hadn’t gotten up yet. I read Dad’s good morning prayer message, then some affirmations, got up, went to the loo, came back, sat at the edge of the bed, and meditated with 40 recitations of Surah Al-Fatiha.
Went downstairs for a shower and ghusl. Enjoyed walking down the staircase. Wore blue-green checked tracksuit bottoms and a blue collared T-shirt, then offered 2 rakats of Fajr Salah and 2 rakats of Salat-ul-Hajat.
Then I changed clothes into blue jeans and a bright white T-shirt with a crystal ball design on it – just randomly picked it. Put on my maroon jumper and went into the kitchen.
Saw my building mate Cxxxxxxx. She said hello, and I said morning. I sat at the table eating a can of jalapeño tuna with a glass of water, and we asked each other what we were doing today. She said she was just staying home and getting ready. She had a gig somewhere yesterday and was flying to Ibiza for a retreat for a couple of weeks.
I said I was working from home and heading to Sainsbury’s, and asked if she wanted anything.
She said, “No, darling, I think I’m okay.”
“Okay, see you later.”
Went downstairs, and before leaving the house, I wanted to check how many people had been contributed money into the box by the front door. We had a collection going on in the house to get a deep clean done this weekend.
Saw my other building, J*****, who lives in the basement. He said hello and asked if I was going to join him sitting downstairs later. We have this huge boardroom-style area in our living room on the ground floor with a massive oval table and around 30 chairs.
I said sure, I might join him.
Left home and walked through Queen Square past The Queen’s Larder pub towards Holborn High Street. I properly looked around the high street for the first time in a while. At Sainsbury’s, all the side doors were closed, and only the exit entrance was open for some reason.
There was only a little Indian girl working in the shop – she was sweet. I walked around looking for spaghetti and couldn’t find it, so I asked her. She said, “Second aisle.”
Second person I interacted with today – I send you my love and blessings, hope you had a nice day.
Bought two packs of spaghetti and a box of six eggs, walked back home, put the spaghetti on to cook with a few cardamoms in the water, made a cup of tea, grabbed my work laptop, and went downstairs to sit at the big table.
Logged into work sharp around 09 AM and started checking things I needed to finish.
Called the agent for the flat I recently viewed to buy. He had mentioned the current owners also had a company listed in partnership, and I wanted to ask the company name because I couldn’t find it in the emails. Then I realised I had sent it to my friend Tomy on WhatsApp.
Downloaded the yearly accounts from Companies House and sent them to a few friends to check everything looked okay before going ahead with the purchase.
May Allah make the process easy if it is best for me, my family, and everyone around me, and allow it to contribute towards a greater good.
The Brazilian agent I usually speak to was on holiday, so I spoke with another lady instead. She was also pleasant, but couldn’t answer much as that was not her listing, and we wished each other a good day.
Sat at the desk for the rest of the morning until around 11:30 AM. My other mate was sitting at the other end of the table. We chatted casually between calls about office days and random small talk – nothing serious.
I needed to speak with my mother. I had checked the parents’ camera, and their living room was dark, so I wondered where they were.
At 11:35 AM, I called Mum. It was around 3:40 PM there. Dad was making himself a cup of tea, and Mum was resting. We had a nice chat about the new flat and just caught up on the day. We spoke for about 15 minutes, talked about my brother, sister, and the rest of the family, then said goodbye, and I got back to work.
The rest of the workday was mostly spent at the desk working. One colleague asked me to arrange credit on an invoice, so I did that. Then I had a quick chat with my boss around 4:30 PM.
Last night I had gone to bed at 3 AM the night before for no reason, just doing this and that, so I thought I’d log off early and maybe log back in around 6 PM to send the received POs.
I had already pulled the blinds down in my room and gone to pee before a nap when, three minutes prior, my boss had sent me a Teams message saying, “Quick chat?”
We had one, I said I’d come back later and check all the uplifts, and then we said goodbye.
I had to lift the blinds back up and put my jumper back on just to speak with her. It was funny.
Put on Michael Sealey’s success, confidence, and motivation sleep hypnosis audio on YouTube and, without setting an alarm, took a nap from around 5:30 PM until 7:40 PM.
Woke up feeling fresh.
Had a text from my mate asking questions about the new flat. I had sent all my friends the accounts and purchase details just to double-check everything.
My mate goes to bed really early. He was already in bed, but he wakes up around midnight because he has a dog that needs to be taken out.
Said goodnight to him and got ready to leave. As I was heading out, I saw my other building mate Hxxxxx coming out of the loo.
“How was your day?”
“I think I’m ill. My throat feels funny, maybe something with the dust in my room.”
“Oh okay. Did your brother help you with the fittings?”
“No, he’s going away, and I’m going away too for a few days.”
“Okay, see you later then.”
Left home, took the bike out, and went up towards Marshall Street Leisure Centre near Carnaby Street. When I got there, the evening was so beautiful and warm that I regretted bringing a jacket.
I didn’t even feel like going inside the gym. I just sat on a bench for half an hour, enjoying the evening and then headed back home.
Still really nice outside.
Went into the kitchen, and another building mate Azxxxx was there eating pizza. We said hello. She’s going camping again this weekend – she went last weekend too – and still had a tan on her nose.
I asked the other girl again about her throat because I had some Strepsils I was trying to finish. I gave her one.
We were planning to move one of our building mate Cxxxxx’s heavy sofa beds from the ground floor up to his room. Cxxxxx was my previous flatmate from the old house in Mayfair; now we’re all in Queen Square, Holborn.
Azxxxx took the lead and encouraged everyone to move it before the cleaners came tomorrow.
Six of us carried the sofa through this huge four-floor house with three large kitchens, seven bathrooms, massive living rooms, a study, and endless sunny corridors. At some point this place must have been one of those grand old Downton Abbey-style homes right in the middle of Central London.
Just grateful to have landed here.
After we moved it, our mate, whose sofa it was, said, “Do you guys want a beer? I’ll go get some.”
He went to the shop and bought a big box while we all sat outside chatting. There were around six of us at first, then two more joined later. Such a random night.
One of the newer housemates, who only moved in a couple of days ago, started telling crazy stories about psychic experiences, escaping death three times in the past 2 years, and being saved by someone with exactly the same name as him and his brother while carrying a book with a strangely similar story to his own.
Today was only the second time him and I had really spoken apart from introductions, and earlier his silver bracelet had randomly fallen off his wrist while we were talking.
About 6 of us just sat outside in our poach, the weather was nice and we don’t usually get together, after sharing all this, he asked the group, “Do you guys have anything weird like that?”
Suddenly, I remembered something from years ago – I was talking to a girl at work who was holding a plastic water bottle, and out of nowhere, the bottle exploded loudly in her hand, and everyone turned around.
My old flatmate Cxxxxx said, “How is this story related to what he just said?”
We all laughed so hard.
Then I said, “No, it is related – because earlier his bracelet randomly fell off his wrist in a weird spooky way, just like that normal plastic bottle suddenly exploded while we were casually talking.”
Normal water bottles don’t usually explode. Lol.
Another friend joined us, and we started chatting about her jacket and random things while walking back towards our rooms.
I said, “I’m still halfway through eating my eggs.”
Another flatmate laughed and said, “You still haven’t finished them yet?”
3 things I felt grateful for today:
• Grateful for loving and caring parents.
• Grateful for lovely housemates.
• Grateful that if the TV works tonight, I’ll eat a late-night meal.
What would it take for me – and for you – to wake up 10x bigger, stronger, more energetic, confident, happy, grateful, wake up early, make it to the gym, have everything okay with family, friends, and everyone around us, and still have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet productive day tomorrow?

Goodnight, good luck.
