Gratitude goes a long way!

๐ŸŒˆ1401 โ€“ Friday, 10 April 2026, 23:54

London

Itโ€™s just 23:55 now, and it was 22:52 when I happened to look at the time and move my focus towards writing.

How grateful this is โ€“ that weโ€™re together, you reading and I writing. It feels very beautiful tonight.

A little candle is lit in front of me on the right. Iโ€™m not looking at it, I can feel it. The radiator is on, and I got up about 7 minutes ago from my desk to put a jumper on as it was getting colder. But during the day it was very mild, about 14 degrees, and I didnโ€™t need a jacket.

From all my love, I hope you had a good day too.

I woke up early today. One of my best mates was going away for a couple of weeks to his hometown, and on his return, heโ€™s bringing his mum over. So we wonโ€™t get to spend time together for a few weeks, so we had decided to catch up, and I went to see him in Whitechapel.

Yesterday evening, I was feeling a bit blue after work drinks, so we walked around, then went home and put a pizza in the oven. My mate added a lot of cheese and made it a delicious one from the supermarketโ€”it was really good when it was done. We ate that and an Easter egg, watched a documentary about bees, and went to bed. I slept there.

Got back home this morning around 09:15, made a cup of tea, and sat down to think about what the plan for the day would be.

10:10 โ€“ spoke with my mother. We had about a 30-minute call. I spoke to her about the new flat to buy and the other one to move into. We had a decent call and then said our goodbyes.

During the day, I had conversations with the agency about picking up the keys to the new place. Spoke to them for a bit, emails back and forth, and spoke to my mate again, just discussing the day for a bit.

13:05 โ€“ walked up to Hertford Street from Clarges Street, Mayfair, to offer Jumma salah, but the masjid was full. The doors were closed. The guys standing outside said, โ€œ14:15 Jamaat, Inshaโ€™Allah.โ€ I returned home.

By then I had received an email to collect the keys from the office for the new place.

14:20 โ€“ left home towards Finchley Central. From Green Park on the Victoria line to Euston, then the Northern line from there to Finchley Central. I got there at 15:05, walked up to Arafa Road, and met the agent lady. She was very smiley and seemed like she wanted to talk more while handing over the keys.

She was also explaining how to open the door to get outโ€”it just felt like she had plenty of time on her handsโ€ฆ how beautiful that would be for everyone.

What would it take for me, and for you, to have plenty of time in our lives? To be able to spend time as we peacefully want, when we speak to family, friends, or anyone we come across. I mean generally being generous with timeโ€ฆ and for all the rush, worries, and unnecessary commitments to be deleted across our minds, time, dimensions, and realityโ€ฆ Amen.

Amen, Allah!

I returned home straight from there, chilled for a bit, then went up to the new place, which is between Marble Arch and Marylebone, by Edgware Road station. A beautiful placeโ€”it just needs tender love and care, which I shall give it.

So I came home after picking up the keys earlier, packed a backpack with the Qurโ€™an, some other Arabic books, and a small glass jewellery box I have, then biked up there. It was about a 15-minute ride from Mayfair to the new place. A lovely rideโ€ฆ

Beautiful area, quiet and nice. I hope to get well grounded in the area, with friends and food around.

Around the world today โ€“

3 things I feel grateful for:

  • Grateful for the beautiful, serene moment I feel right now. I wish someone was next to me, telling me they feel the same.

  • Grateful for everything on this planet, for making it possible to express through words.

  • Grateful for loving and caring people around meโ€ฆ I love you!

Stay warm and keep focus on your mind. Catch yourself and observe what youโ€™re thinking. Forgive and forget everything from the past. From now on, I give you permission to be newborn, with a clean slate. Youโ€™re free. Yes -0 absolutely free. Do not overthink it, just let it goโ€ฆ

What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 x more stronger, bigger, leaner, muscular, wake up early, have a good workout, everything to be okay with family, friends and everyone around, then have a realxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?

Sigh-up to the monthly letter below.

Goodnight, goodluck!
