London
Take a moment to sit down and think about how you’ve been managing your time lately. Recall a time when you wouldn’t let a day end without finishing your most important task, even if it meant getting out of bed to write a few sentences. Try to rediscover that sense of discipline. Begin by ensuring your basic needs and comforts are met—only then can you truly focus on self-improvement and making a positive impact on others.
I hope you are happy!! I hope you areeee HAAAPIEEE… !!!!!
Heard this song over the weekend and was struck by how fiction is crafted in shows and other forms of entertainment to captivate people. Wonder what one truly gained from spending that time. Perhaps it was meant to be quality time with friends—an opportunity to connect while enjoying something together. But was it worth it?
Lost time never comes back, and there is no point now. All one can do is cherish the best that has come out of it, move on to making other memories, and not forget to laugh it off.
Woke up early today after a night of rolling over in bed, though I still managed to sleep well. Last night was decent, but the night before brought a storm with some of the strongest winds I’ve seen in years—rain came and went alongside it. Thankfully, the weather turned mild afterward. Earlier in the week, it was bitterly cold, and almost everyone I met was either complaining about the cold or bracing themselves for the heat.
Years ago, I used to get irritated by the weather, much like others and a grumpy customer at my old job. One day, I overheard him say to someone, “What do you expect? It’s the end of November—it’s supposed to be cold. This is England.” That comment made me stop and think. Growing up in a place where it only rained once a year and was usually hot, cold weather and rain felt like a luxury—a source of joy. Rainy days were some of the happiest moments back then.
Have we grown up and forgotten how to enjoy the weather, or have we just gotten used to it? Whatever the reason, people please don’t complain, whether it’s cold or hot, just be grateful, and embrace it with a big thank you!
The events of today don’t feel memorable enough to look back on someday, so I’ll write about something else instead.
Started work on time, and the day went well. In the morning, I caught up with my mom, had a quick chat with my brother, and saw my dad on video. I sent a heart to my sister’s message, took care of three appointments and two calls, and enjoyed a meal of chickpeas and salmon. Later, I had a long chat with a friend, took a nap after work, and went for a run. I covered two bridges in a loop from Piccadilly to Lambeth Bridge and over Westminster Bridge—no clue how far it was since I didn’t follow my usual route. Got everything ready for tomorrow’s office day, and now I’m finally sitting down to write.
Around the world today –
More than 200 flood alerts remain in place for England and Wales and travel issues are set to continue into the new week
Middle Eastern war – Israel may be just days away from a cease-fire deal with Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
Advancement of the human rights – In 2018, Saudi Arabia became the world’s last country to permit female motorists.
3 things I felt grateful for..
Grateful for the excellent public transport in London—made it home in just 20 minutes and on time for work after spending the weekend hanging out at a mate’s place.
Grateful for skipping a heavy dinner tonight.
Grateful for the good night’s sleep that’s waiting for me now.
What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 x times active, motivated, and energetic, wake up early, have a good workout, have everything to be fine and pleasant with family, friends and everyone around, and then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?
