London

It’s just past midnight now, going to write something quicky before falling a sleep, already sitting in bed, no tshirt on, it’s too warm, was talking to a mate, he’s actually sitting in a bath tub.. the weather had gone really mild, although it rained yesterday afternoon for a bit, but then gone very very muggy and sticky during the night, somehow glad I got a goodnight sleep.

Woke up early today, on and off, fell a sleep until it was 10 to 8 am.. messages were already flying arond on the work teams chats, felt a little rushed in the monring to make to work on it or rather as soon as possible to start the day.

Had a quick shower, did Jumma Gusl and wore a dark blue and black casual shirt and a coffee colour jeans, same matching shoes, left home for work, by St James park from Picadilly, surprisingly got there sharp at 9 AM .. feeling good, happy and grateful it’s Friday.

Work went well overall, with a focus on document verification. I did feel a bit rushed in the morning while trying to complete a few tasks. I mentioned to someone that I’d finish one of them in about 40 minutes, but it ended up taking until midday. It’s better to stick to the schedule and manage the scope, avoiding specific time estimates. This way, you can keep your options open, especially with work, as you never know when technical glitches might arise.

I went up to the river restaurant for lunch and enjoyed fish and chips under the sun. It felt incredibly good and relaxing, though I started feeling really sleepy as the sun got stronger. I always wonder why the sun makes me so drowsy. The river was quiet and breezy, and even the seagulls were calmer. It was such a peaceful afternoon by the river that I didn’t want to head back to my desk, but work called. To be honest, most of the work was already done; I just needed to wrap up a couple more tasks, which went smoothly.

I logged off on time and biked home by the lake in St. James Park. A lot of people were out, sunbathing and hanging out, making it seem like a typical hot summer day. However, riots are happening in London, with most roads closed, police everywhere, and chanting on the streets. I could only hear the commotion from a distance, but seriously, please stay home, keep calm, and focus on something productive. There is no gain in doing what is currently happening. please jsut stop being annoying, be respectful to everyone and just stay the fuck home!

3 things I felt grateful for today

  • Took a long nap right after getting home from work, so grateful felt so good after a long week.

  • Felt grateful google calender reminded me of a uni best mates birthday and I wished her and she was over the moon that I remembered..

  • Grateful, after napping this evening woke up and spoke to customer care lady to sort the wifi, it went well, then spoke to Nephew Dan who left home first time last week to uni, then spoke to uni friend wished her birthday, then spoke to brother and his son on video call, then spoke to a mate who was having his time of the day..

Around the world today –

  • Humans have tried to predict the weather for as long as there have been floods and droughts. But in recent years, climate science, advanced computing and satellite imagery have supercharged their ability to do so. Computer models can gauge the likelihood of fire, flooding or other perils at the scale of a single building lot and looking decades into the future. Startups that develop these models have proliferated, buoyed by venture capital and private equity. (Bloomberg)

  • Ukraine wipes out entire battalion inside Russia β€˜in one of war’s bloodiest strikes’ – Night-time footage emerged early on Friday showing what appeared to be a line of military truck ablaze on a road in the Kursk region of Russia. A separate video, shared on Russian social media, appeared to have been taken by someone driving past the aftermath of the apparent strike (Telegraph)

  • The US, Qatar and Egypt are calling for a new round of cease-fire talks for next Thursday in Doha or Cairo.

What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 x times bigger, thicker, more energetic, confident, happy, healthy, wealthy, make it to workout in the morning, have a good workout, then speak to parents, everything to be fine with family, friends, and everyone around, then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?

Goodnight, good luck!
