I logged into the site at 23:23, but by the time it was ready and I published the post, it was 23:25, taking nearly two minutes. Research indicates that if a site or link takes longer than 10 seconds to load, users lose interest.

I woke up early, and today is definitely not one of those days. Feeling good, energetic, and unhurried, I read messages in the family group chat and gave a heart to Dad’s morning prayer photo. I did my affirmations in bed, then sat at the edge to meditate for 12 more. When I checked the time, it was 07:22. I wondered how I had so much time this morning.

It’s cloudy and mild outside, not as hot as yesterday. Wearing just a t-shirt and track pants, I left home for the gym and had an unexpectedly good workout. I did four sets of ten reps of pull-ups and incline barbell shoulder presses. After a leisurely shower, I felt unhurried and unpressured by the usual rush of life, leaving me to wonder how I had so much free time today.

Walked back home, offered 2 x raka of Salah-tu-Fajr, 2 x Salah-tu-Hajath, checked a light blue plain shirt, and blue trousers, ate breakfast piece of chicken, bread, Banana shake, left home for work, did mostly audit work at the desk, broke for lunch and ate cod by the river.. sat with a friend at lunch but we didn’t talk.

Around the news today the rest of the world, last Sunday was the hottest day on Earth’s recorded history and Israel attacked Houthis in retaliation for the Tel Aviv drone strike. (Telegraph)

3 things I felt grateful for today

  • Felt grateful on my bike this morning on my way to work, for some reason.

  • Felt grateful while taking the stairs up and returning home from the gym this morning.

  • Feeling grateful now, my dear sister is travelling with her family back home tonight as we speak..

What would it take for me and for you to wake up to another day of being not rushed, and in control of time feeling 10 x times stronger, happier, and healthier, make it workout in the morning then get to work on time, everything to be okay with family, friends and everyone around then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?
