I just sat down for a long chat with an old friend, and an hour before that, I’d had another heartfelt conversation with a dear friend who really needed to open up. Today’s lesson couldn’t be clearer: the foundation of meaningful relationships—whether with family or friends—is built on communication.
Thursday went… well, I suppose. What did I do today? I started by opening my eyes slowly, focusing on nothing but Dad’s cheerful good morning prayer message. After that, I read some affirmations, spent about five minutes meditating on them, then headed out for the gym. It was cold, wet, and grey outside, though a bit milder than usual.
As I leave home and walk down Oxendon Street, I pass Panton Street on the left, where a theatre is showing Macbeth. I’m not sure of the theatre’s name, but every morning there’s a line of people waiting sitting down outside its door. I wonder what exactly they’re waiting for as they sit there patiently, I usually see them on my way to the gym early morning.
Did just 4 sets of 11 reps of pull-ups on the bar, followed by some barbell bench presses and military shoulder presses. After that, I took a quick shower and headed straight back home, almost 9 now and those guys are still sitting on the floor.
After a good workout, I had some rice and duck for breakfast, then spent most of the day at my desk. Around 11 AM, I checked in with my brother to see if he was at work and how things were going. I also had a quick chat with a friend who’s checking out a nearby property and attending an event. He mentioned he’ll swing by on his way home.
Feels like writing a poem tonight –

if only I hadn’t glimpsed the unseen—
this heart might have stayed steady, untouched by the dream.

3 things I felt grateful for today
Grateful for being able to take time out for mates during the day.
Grateful had a huge salad for lunch, and ate healthy today.
Grateful sleep is coming.

North Korea is sending troops to Russia and they may be put into combat in Ukraine.
What would it take for me and for you to wake up 10 x times bigger, thicker, muscular, stronger, energetic, wake up sharp, make it to workout in the morning, then get to the studies on time, everything to be okay with family, friends and everyone around, then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing, yet a productive day tomorrow?
