I woke up around 8:30, had seen a friend visited with food last night and then we went in town for a couple, so had gone to bed around 2:30.. I needed to send the Amazon barcodes to my supplier in China. I recently started Imports Exports through SFM and currently, my supplier is producing my material. It’s a Luxury PU Leather bag that I am sourcing.
First step was I needed to research a product, then find a supplier on Alibaba.com and order the placement, while you place the order, you have to create your Amazon Seller Central account it will cost you around $50 a month, it’s less than that, I don’t know exactly but it’s under 50. Seller Central is the one where you create a listing. listing is when you type a keyword in the search tab on Amazon, the bunch of products come up they are all listings..
So you can create your listing on Amazon’s Sellers central, and after you create your listing you need to give a barcode just unique Amazon Seller Central generated to your supplier who’s gonna place that barcode on your each product. It’s cal’d as FNSKU Barcode.
First you have to buy a UPC barcode before you even start listing your Amazon, which will cost you under $20. UPC barcodes are a universal barcode. Each of your product will need to have a Universal barcode, if you have 2 variations of color in your products then you need to have those many UPC barcodes.
While you are entering the listing, Amazon Seller Central will ask you to enter a barcode so you go to, I used this today https://www.nationwidebarcode.com/
so you go there, buy a couple barcodes and come back to Amazon Seller central and add them there and then after the listing is created, you can print your second barcode that is just unique to Amazon product that is FNSKU barcode.
So last night, I was able to create a barcode for Brown color variation but didn’t had enough time, my mate already came in and I didn’t wanna miss approving my supplier asap. My supplier had also sent me some images of the bag with logo embedded so I had to check and approve that.
After I created those, I still wanted to confirm so I requested for a call back from the Amazon Help Rep’s and guy phoned straight away, he seemed like he knew what he was doing and he confirmed a few more questions of mine.
It was a great success, I was able to give the barcodes to my supplier to add them on the product.
