Never complain! Stay silent, find a solution.

London

At last, Friday has come around,

A break from the week’s steady sound.

Not long ago, I worked through it all,

Balancing work shifts, Uni, and the Call.

Back then, weekends didnโ€™t mean much,

But now, theyโ€™re a gift I cherish as such.

Grateful whispers fill the air,

“Enjoy the moment, be present there!

Woke up early, better or worse thanks to covid now the world remains to stay working from home, at least on Friday for some.

Woke up pretty cheerful, I’d been in bed for a while.. read Dad’s prayer message on the family group chat, then sat at the end of the bed for about 6 minutes for 35 affirmations then headed to the gym.

Cold, foggy but mild outside. This weekend and the next weeks are going back to the warm weather some places up to 15 degrees, but early during the wee,k it was 2 degrees this week, looking forward to a bit warmer weather.

Got to the gym at 08:10, did the upper body, 4 x sets of pull-ups on the bar, 24 kgs of Dumbbell shoulder presses, Lateral raises, Hammer curls and had a decent shower and headed back home, logged in at the desk sharp at 09:00 AM..

Then offered 2 x Salah-tu-Fajr, and 2 x Salah-tu-Hajath, The payer for the morning was done.. sat at the desk the rest of the day. Had listened and fell asleep last night to an increased productivity self-hypnotise video on YouTube last night and today I feel I’m buzzing inside to get all work done quickly! quickly!

Broke for lunch around 13:20 when headed to Berwick street masjid to offer Jumma Salah, I had missed the first one but there was another Jamath starting so joined in, only stayed for about 10 minutes headed back home, had some quick lunch Chawal with Gosh ki achaar sent by dear sister..

During the day had a quick catch-up with dear mother, brother and looked at the parents’ living room cam throughout the day, checked on them, logged off work around 17:45 and took a long nap for about 40 minutes, then was on the phone browsing, chat with someone selling a bike and arranged to meet them tomorrow..

19:40 left home for running, went from Picadilly Circus via Greenpark, through Horseguards parade, behind Westminster Cathedral, then Great Peter Street, then over Lambeth bridge up to Vauxhall Bridge where I took the turn in front of MI6 building, on my right is Albert Embankment, my favourite new built building on the river looked up made a little prayer, ran through on my right was the beautiful hearts on the wall of Covid memorial wall.. then took the stairs onto Westminster bridge, there was some display on the walls of London Aquarium, a video was projected from the outside with loud music.. stood there for a bit watching, someone was just promoting something..

On my way back home, I took the same route from Westminster through St. Jamesโ€™s Park. While climbing the stairs, I noticed a girl struggling to carry a Lime bike up. I offered to help, and together we lifted it. She was happy, and in that moment, I thoughtโ€”maybe this was my purpose for the day, to be there at the right time and right place for a good deed feed of the day!

I perhaps remind everyone to reflect on a good deed theyโ€™ve done for someone else today. Itโ€™s a simple reminder to focus on others, not just yourself, throughout the day.

I got home and made Fish Khorma for dinner, trying it for the first time. It turned out delicious! I had already had a light lunch, but the fish was cooked so well that I thought it would pair perfectly with rice, so I ended up eating a big meal. Haha!

Around the world today –

  • World War 3 – On Tuesday, Russian forces set a new record in the 1,000-day war by launching 188 Shahed drones and four Iskander-M ballistic missiles at Ukraine (Telegraph)

  • Ukraine claims to have hacked and redirected 95 kamikaze drones toward Russia while intercepting 90% of drone attacks, despite being unable to stop Iskander missiles.

  • Iceland, known as the land of fire and ice, is among the most geologically active regions on Earth. Its electricity is primarily generated from hydropower (70%) and geothermal energy.

3 things I felt grateful for –

  • Grateful for two great workouts today.

  • Grateful for the next couple of days off, with no plans except to follow my heart.

  • Grateful for the little radio in my roomโ€”it doesnโ€™t have a station, but it plays popular songs from the times.

What would it take for me and for you to wake up fully aligned to our goals, wake up early, make it to the workout, have a good workout, everything to be cool with family, friends and everyone around, and then have a relaxing, relaxing, relaxing yet a productive day tomorrow?
